Blog Contest!!! If you can identify these moths, I will send you......hmm......okay, the winner gets something that has NOTHING to do with moths - a copy of "Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry." Why? Because I have three of them, that's why.
And because I've looked at approximately 4,723 pages on the "What's that Bug" website and STILL can't find them. They were about 1 1/2 inches from stem to stern. And I'm curious, that's why.
Aren't they cute? They look like they are wearing little black and red furry scarves!

nope - no idea what they are. But way to go on the privacy intrusion...a lovely close-up of them mating! ;-) HAHAHAHAHAHA
I haven't a clue, but their coloring is stunning, isn't it?
Hey! Their wings were covered! Nothing indecent was exposed! This is a G-rated blog, here! :^)
Besides, if they get to mate on MY window, I get to take pictures. They want privacy, they can hide in the woods.
It's a Buck Moth – Hemileuca maia (see link below). =uD

Well, Josh, you win the prize! Email me privately with your contact information. (Unless, of course, this is my SON Joshua. In that case, I'll leave it on your bed.)
