Paws for a Commercial Break

I've mentioned Nathan at CFHusband before here. His wife, Tricia, is in surgery now for a double lung transplant. Please keep her in your prayers.

And, if you've never thought about organ donation, please read this website and prayerfully consider signing a donor card. But don't stop there. PLEASE let your family know about your desire to donate your organs. Because Steve is a critical care nurse and has worked with our state's organ procurement team in the past, we know that just signing a donor card isn't enough if your family is unaware of your wishes.

So please register with your state's organ donor organization and/or carry a donor card with you. And let your family know. But, most of all, right now, pray for Tricia. And for the family of her organ donor.

Heaven's Sweet New Resident

Precious little Maddie lost her battle here on earth today, but is dancing in the Presence of the Perfect Healer. I know her family is devastated and they remain in our prayers. Here is a video that was put together some months ago as a tribute.

Pray for Maddie

Maddie is a little girl whom I don't even know. But back in August, someone on my homeschool loop posted a prayer request for her. I went to her blog and started reading. I read all her history one night. She was born with half a heart. This past July, she underwent the third and final surgery to correct (as much as they can) the condition. She has been in the hospital since that time. And she has been put on a heart-lung bypass machine, called ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) three times since her surgery.

This family has just captured my heart. Will you please join me in praying for Maddie's healing, as well as strength for her family? Check out her blog as well. Madeline Willoughby Lester.
