Maximillion's Sunflowers

A sure sign of fall....

A riotous profusion of Maximillion's Sunflowers all along the roadways and in ditches.

These are along the road to the barn and they are TALL!

Brooke got out to pick some (they stink, she discovered - picking not recommended) and some of them were twice as tall as she is.

I love how the light of the setting sun lit up these lovely flowers.

Those flowers are gorgeous! How interesting that they are stinky. Definitely not as pretty as they look, eh? I didn't know they were a fall flower.

Great pictures.

Those are beautful flowers. I had some flowers like that once that a friend gave me and they took over my flowerbed so I had to pull them up. Mine didn't smell bad so they must have been something else, maybe coreopsis.
