I was awakened this morning to the sound of dump trucks and bulldozers bringing more dirt to our lot! What a great sound! I couldn't believe they had started so early - even before we left to feed the horses. By the end of the day, half the house pad was built.
But the day also ended with rain in the forecast, which means no dirt tomorrow. I hope we just get a drizzle as opposed to torrential downpours that would wash away all that has been done.
The day ended with me riding my horse again. Brooke has taken it upon herself to be my trainer. She expects a lot of me - she doesn't realize I'm old, fat, and fragile! But we did okay, Lady and I. I even trotted a little. Now to figure out how to NOT bounce while trotting. Therein lies the rub!
Brooke got Steve's digital camera out again and took some pictures of Morgan playing on the barrels (for barrel racing, for those non-horse initiated). She is doing well with her photography and is enjoying the immediate results of the digital camera. We're late to everything - blogging... digital photography.....

Ginger - welcome to the blogging world. First of all I LOVE the name of your blog. I wish I would of been that creative. Secondly your horses are beautiful! Do you ride much?
Thanks, Emily! My kids have been riding for a few years. First Brooke, then Joshua, then Morgan, and me lastly. I did take a few lessons in Western Pleasure a few years ago, but that got expensive. Then I didn't have a horse to ride. My FIL just recently put the girls' horses in their names (Josh no longer rides) and was going to sell the third. I asked to buy her. I adore Lady. I think she is just beautiful. My FIL got her when she was just a year old and Joshua would show her in halter class. Now that Lady is mine, I've been riding at least weekly. My girls practice at least once, depending on weather, and have competitions almost every weekend.
These things just take awhile... it took me a LONG time to go completely digital, but that was 5 years ago (LOL)... but STILL it took me a full year of using both film and digital before I finally switched completely over. So.... at least you started! That's more than some will ever do. I also like the name of your blog and now that I've read most of it, I even "get it." (LOL).
