Something I Never Dreamed I'd See

My son applying makeup to his sister. That was just weird. But in a sweet sort of way. Joshua told Brooke the other day that she had it on too heavy - "raccoon eyes," he said. She isn't allowed to wear eyeliner on a regular basis, but she was playing around with it. Today he went shopping and bought some eyeliner for her and some lip gloss for Morgan. He told Brooke that he had to show her how to do it the right way. I asked him how he knew how to do that and he said he learned applying makeup on his girl friends. "Chicks dig it when you do their makeup." OOOkay.

Sounds like a sweet, protective older brother to me. :) By the way, he did an amazing job!!!!

Laura, Brooke said "protective" is too mild a word. She said when she ever gets a boyfriend (way into the future, interjects Mom), he will be SCARED of Josh! :^)

Nice job! I don't think I'll ever find Jon helping Allison with her makeup.LOL

He did do amazing. She looks great. He could be a make-up artist.

Elen, I'm sure Josh would do consults, but knowing him, there would probably be a fee involved! :^)

Lisa, there were days when I thought Josh and Brooke would never be in a room where there wouldn't be a risk of flowing blood! Those two clashed BIG TIME! And putting on makeup? Joshua? I was probably more shocked than anyone!

Junebug, We did tell Joshua that he could have a profession as a makeup artist and be continually surrounded by pretty women, but he thought it would be weird to tell his Navy Reserve buddies if that were his "alter ego."

What a great older brother. It would freak me out if either of min came offering make-up advice, but he is the real deal. He did a good job.

Well. It's better than the other way around, right?! And he did a nice job!

(I always thought it'd be great to have someone shave my legs, lol.)

I'm fairly certain you couldn't pay one of our sons to apply their sister's makeup (LOL)! Cute pic!
