(And no comments about the low water level or the amount of algea in the tank. Distilled water is on my list of things to buy - the cats keep the water level lower than they should, I think. And I'm afraid if we clean out the algea, the fish will die!)

I don't know that the cats actually KNOW that there are fish in there. The ledge is so narrow, they really can't perch in front to watch the tank. I just think the cats believe we are keeping a continuous cycle of fish-flavored water just for them.
Maybe the water is low because the cats keep drinking it! Cute kitty.
We have a small fish tank like that and my cat perches beside it too. She can't get at the water to drink it though. It is a job keeping the water level up and tank cleaned. I don't enjoy that part.
I used Picasa. It is a pretty limited program. I'd love one of the nice Photoshop programs, but the one I was looking at is around $600. Yipes!

LOL! I plan to bring our fishtank back into the house next year when we do Zoology 2 - swimming creatures. Right now it's being stored out in our shed.
