Recital Sunday

This is the weekend for recitals! First, Brooke's choir. Today, both girls' piano recital. Of course, I forgot to bring the camera. So I took pictures when we got back home.

An interesting experience in church this morning - we sat in the rear of the church in case things ran late because we needed to get across town for the recital at 2 p.m. - we usually sit no further back than row three! Near the back where we were is an exit used only at the end of service - there's no hardware on the exterior of the door, so you can't go in that way. Evidently a very bright green anole lizard had found his way in the door and he was on the wall. I kept expecting him to jump on some unsuspecting elderly woman in a bouffant hairdo as she walked past. But, alas, nothing so exciting as that. I definitely kept MY distance, even without a bouffant hairdo!

Oh my! I would have been totally distracted watching the lizard. Spring recital is certainly in the air. I've seen them mentioned on several blogs today. It's fun to see the kids get all dressed up for their recitals.

Oh, my! I'm sure one of my boys probably brought it in! ;o) If only I could keep them away from green things!

I hope the recital went well!
